About ToolByte

ToolByte is a collection of free, browser-based utilities designed for developers, marketers, content creators, and anyone who works with the web. The platform brings together tools that are commonly needed during development and content workflows — from code minification and formatting to text manipulation, PDF processing, and SEO analysis.

Why we built this

As a development team, we regularly needed small utilities — a quick UUID, a minified JSON payload, a slug from a page title. Each time, we would open a different website, often cluttered with ads or requiring sign-ups. We decided to build a single, clean platform that houses all of these utilities in one place and keeps them free of unnecessary friction.

Who maintains it

ToolByte is built and maintained by Duo Dev Technologies, a software development company focused on building reliable web applications and developer tools. We build products used by clients across industries, and ToolByte is one of our open contributions to the developer community.

Our approach

Every tool on ToolByte is built to produce correct, standards-compliant output. We do not cut corners on the implementation — the HTML minifier follows proper parsing rules, the UUID generator produces RFC-compliant identifiers, and the code formatters respect language-specific conventions. Tools run entirely in the browser where possible, meaning your data stays on your machine.
